|B. Doug Alumbaugh
|Doug Alumbaugh is the President of AUI Contractors, based in Fort Worth, Texas. With more than 30 years of experience in all phases of civil, industrial and commercial construction, including commercial estimating, project management, planning and scheduling, Alumbaugh is well qualified in his role at AUI.
Since joining the company in 1984, he has held several positions including Project Manager, Chief Estimator, Executive Vice President and major stockholder. Alumbaugh has overseen the construction of more than 700 projects totaling in excess of $500 million. Under his leadership, AUI has successfully built projects for nearly every municipality in North Texas, including DFW Airport, Trinity River Authority, Fort Worth Transportation Authority, Dallas Area Rapid Transit, Alcon Labs, Texas Instruments, Hillwood Development, BNSF, Ritchie Bros., Texas Department of Transportation and many other private clients.
Prior to joining AUI, Alumbaugh worked at Fort Worth based Ed. A Wilson, Inc. General Contractors as a Civil Estimator and Civil Project Manager from 1981 to 1983. For six years prior to that, Alumbaugh worked in various field positions at the company.
An active member of the North Central Texas Council of Government, Alumbaugh served as Municipal Utilities Vice Chairman from 2005 to 2006 and on the Public Works Council from 2002 to 2005. In addition, he has held several positions with the Associated General Contractors of Texas (AGC), including Chairman of the Board from 2003 to 2004; Municipal Utilities vice chairman in 2001; area chairman Fort Worth District 1998 to 2000, and member of the Public Works Committee – AGC Building Branch – from 1990 to 1993. Alumbaugh earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Architectural and Construction Management from The University of Texas Arlington in 1983.
